Brynlie ended up catching my stomach bug this week but it came and went quickly which was a HUGE answer to prayers. Everyone was happy and healthy for Christmas.
Friday night I went to the Christmas party at my gym. There was a workout right before the potluck dinner but I didn't dare try and go workout after the week I had. It was good to get out of the house and see my friends again. Plus the party was fun.
Christmas Eve we went and opened gifts at the Hunter's house. It was lots of fun as usual. Cory couldn't help but put together his parents gift for them and Brynlie couldn't help but... well... help.
Christmas Eve was also tons of fun at home. The girls opened their traditional Christmas jammies.
And we made our cookies for Santa.
And snitched a little.
Carrots for the reindeer, chocolate chip cookies and frosted sugar cookies -- because if Santa doesn't like sprinkles then this whole believing in Santa thing isn't worth my time.
We finally got the kids to bed without them exploding in excitement and then we got to play Santa. For almost two months Kennedy has had a present under the tree for Santa.
She put it together herself and was so excited! I started crying a little before I opened it because I hope she never loses this tender, thoughtful side of her.
I opened it and laughed pretty hard at the contents: stolen ornaments from my mom's tree, a note on the back of an empty sticker page, and tissues for santas nose.
She is the greatest!!
Christmas morning was super awesome. I'm just going to post some cute pictures from the festivities.
Putting on her "pretend" makeup.
Not all was merry and bright.
Brynlie felt pretty dapper in her new clothes and started posing for everyone.
And then Kennedy took her turn.
We had such a great day! I hope you all did, too!
See you, soon!
